The class will be held April 22nd from 6pm-8pm, in A Bushel & A Pecks Lower Level. Please note stairs will be used to get downstairs.

Mahjong 101 is a beginner-friendly class designed as an introduction to American Mahjong for those who have never played before. In a relaxed and fun atmosphere, you will learn the basics of the game. The course covers tile fundamentals, game setup, how to read the NMJL card, and the steps to playing the game.
No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Come join us!
What is Mahjong?
American Mahjong is a fun, social tile game that blends strategy, pattern-building, and a bit of luck. Usually played with four players, the objective is to form specific hands by drawing and discarding tiles throughout the game. American Mahjong follows the rules established by the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL), which releases a new hand card each year. 2026 cards are now available! American Mahjong is not only fun but also enhances memory and fosters community connections.
